WHEN IN ROME | DAY 7 – ULTIMO GIORNO A ROMA

WHEN IN ROME | DAY 7
ULTIMO GIORNO A ROMA
Sadly, my time in Rome is coming to an end. I am so glad I came on this trip, not only because I am in love with Italy, but because I have grown from this trip. I have spent a lot of time thinking and reflecting on the last couple months and even years if I am being honest. Self discovery is another one for me, specifically while I have been in Vatican City. I feel like my faith has grown a lot and my inner happiness. It sounds a tad cheesy, but I really did start to find myself and think about what I want to do with my life.
I managed to do Rome on foot-ish in a day. I had seen everything I saw today before, but I wanted to see all the sights one last time and while it was light outside. I also wanted to revisit one of the gelaterias as it was bellissomo! The first stop on my journey was Colosseo which is only 10 minutes down the road from where I am staying and I finished off my adventure around Rome with Fontana Di Trevi. That was definitely a highlight as I witnessed a beautiful proposal :’)  It was so cute. There was a guy telling his girlfriend how much she means to him and that she makes him a better man and then he got down on one knee – it was honestly the sweetest thing and melted my heart. I’m a sucker for love and all that mushy stuff. It was honestly beautiful. Someday Ash, someday.
