HOW TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS | If you follow me on social media, you should already know that I LOVE a good deal and I am all about comparing prices before booking anything. In this post, as part of the ‘HOW TO TRAVEL‘ series, I will share with you how to BEST book tickets for your next adventure.

The most common approach you may see which I definitely use is the Skyscanner search. Pop in your location and destination, and you will get an array of flight options. Flights with different airlines, direct flights or flights with stop overs. Its a great way to find great deals on flights globally.

However, if you’re planning trips to anywhere in Europe and the US – I have a GEM for you! OMIO.

I have been using OMIO since I first started travelling back in 2016. It is one of my absolute MUST-HAVE travel apps. OMIO is easy and simple to use whether you are using it via the mobile app or on your desktop.

I love using OMIO because it gives you the option to travel by train, plane or coach. It also tells you how long each journey is and highlights the fastest and cheapest routes.

Back in 2018, I booked a one way ticket to Paris and the night before I was returning to London, I booked my ticket back. I headed straight to OMIO’s website, which gave me the option to return by flight, train or coach. Honestly, it was a saving grace. Rather than paying £200 for a flight, I booked a coach for £25. It saves you money to have options.

Take a look at the screenshots below. If you were planning a trip from London to Brussels, you have options to travel via train, coach or plane. As a solo traveller, I would get an overnight coach to Brussels as its cheaper. But, as a Mama travelling with a baby, I would get the morning train to Brussels as its quick and convenient (no airport hassle).

That’s the great thing about OMIO, you can find journeys and travel methods that best suit you and your travel style. Now that I have a little baby girl, I am always looking for the fastest and most convenient routes. OMIO will always be my go-to for my European trips.

Your next adventure is only around the corner. Whether you want to venture around the romantic city of Paris or munch on a slice of pizza in Pisa, you’re only a click away.

Now you know HOW TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS, make sure you subscribe to my blog and keep a look out for the next post in my ‘HOW TO TRAVEL’ series.

Head to OMIO’s website to book your next adventure, or get some travel inspiration by following them on social media.

HOW have I never heard of this company before?! It sounds great for travelling within Europe where there are obviously multiple ways of travelling other than just flights. I need to check this out for my next break x

This is amazing! I wish I’d know about this company sooner. I mean, it takes so much time to compare all the options, bus, train, plane. This is perfect for both my time management and my climate anxiety!

Before Covid-19 came into the picture, booking flights are so easy. I still wonder why still many people rely on travel agencies for their itineraries and turn into a nightmare when travel agencies suddenly filed for bankruptcy (hello, Thomas Cook!). I can’t wait to travel again and try your recommendations.
