Oh sweet Paree… Sweet sweet Paree.
Each trip I take across the English channel to the city of love and lights, my love story with the city rekindled. My last adventure was to see Stormzy in concert, this one was quite different. There is something about Paris that keeps me coming back for more, so much to see and there is something for everyone. Here’s a list of 5 things you need to do in Paris.
WALK ALONG THE RIVER SEINE
First things first, have a stroll along the River Seine. Its perfect for landmark spotting as most of Paris’ iconic monuments are located along the river. Personally, my favourite time of day is during sunset. There is something magical about being at the River Seine, by the Eiffel Tower during sunset.
TRY ESCARGOT & FROGS LEGS
It would be rude not to try these French delicacies – haha. I would also recommend you try macarons, crepes and of course – croissants.
GO M– USEUM HOPPING
Learning about the history of the country or city you’re in is a definite must. Paris has some many museums and galleries to offer, I would highly recommend taking a trip to a couple.
Museums in Paris:
The Louvre
Musee d’Orsay
Musee de l’Orangerie
The Centre Pompidou
Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais
Musee de Montmartre
CHILL BY THE EIFFEL TOWER
By far one of the best things I’ve done. During Spring and Summer there of floods of people having picnics, dancing, listening to music – just enjoying life. Its a nice simple way to experience Paris. Honestly, what beats a picnic under the Eiffel Tower?
WONDER DOWN THE CHAMP-ELYSEES
Whether you want to window shop in Cartier or get in touch with your inner child in the Disney Store, the Champs-Élysées is the perfect place for an afternoon stroll.
